Cyprus Declaration: Reviving a Shared European Identity

The YUFE Strategic Council has met in Cyprus and expressed concerns about the future of Europe.

In an era of apathy and opposition to a shared European identity and values, we, as an Alliance of young European universities, stand united to lead the way towards a more inclusive, open, and egalitarian European future. To remain competitive and independent in a globalized world, we must not allow Europe to fragment into disparate parts with diverging values.
YUFE calls for the revival of shared European values founded on democracy, social inclusion, and the celebration of our rich diversity. As a European Universities Alliance, we are committed to countering the rising tide of hostility.

Our mission is clear: to educate the next generation guided by the principles of European values. To fulfil this mission and provide stability in an ever-changing political landscape, we call for sustainable support.
